Nassau is located in New Providence and it is the capital of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. It is also the Bahamas largest city with a population of approximately 300,000 which is 80% of the total Bahamian population. It is here that most tourists visit the Bahamas. Lying across a short bridge is Paradise Island which is home to Atlantis, no doubt one of the world’s greatest resorts. It was the arrival of Atlantis that brought Bahamas tourism to another level. The Cable Beach area of Nassau is also a tourist area hosting many resorts including Sandals, Sheraton, Wyndham, Radisson and others. There are also many restaurants, shops and golf courses to discover.
Freeport is located on Grand Bahama and is the second largest tourist destination in the Bahamas. It’s tourist area is quainter than Nassau/Paradise Island but it also hosts resorts like Pelican Bay, The Ritz, Wyndham and others. There is one casino on Grand Bahama
